THE FISHING APOLOGIST: THE REAL REASON I'M HERE......
JESUS CHRIST: THE REAL FISHER OF MEN
What I, Sockeye Pete, believe:
1) Jesus Christ is my Savior, Lord, and God.
2) I am a sinner. I have fallen short of the Glory of God. I am in need of a Savior, a Redeemer.
3) Jesus Christ was crucified and died on the cross. He was dead, buried, but rose again in a new glorified body.
4) Through my personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior I have been cleansed from my sin, my name is written in the Book of Life, and someday I shall inherit a glorified body like Jesus now has, and I shall live eternally in the presence of the Lord God Almighty.
5) The Holy Bible (the 66 books of the Old Testament and New Testament) is the uniquely inspired - inerrant words of the one true God.

Being a fisherman it is very difficult not to believe in God. Throughout my many fishing adventures I've witnessed his beauty and creation in nature: sunsets, mountains, rivers and streams, oceans, fish, wildlife and vast forests. Each of these testifies to the creation power and majesty of the Lord God. The peace and joy that I experience while fishing is a further testimony to the spiritual nature of the planet that the Lord has put us on. Sometimes when I reflect upon all of the great times I have while fishing here on planet Earth, I begin to wonder what it will be like in heaven....
